To put Deng Xiaoping’s words “Make Hi-techs industrialized” into effect, initiated by the famous scientists and economists such as Wang Daheng, Wang ganchang and Ma Bin, etc., China Hi-Tech Industrialization Association（CHIA）, a nation wide community gathering the well-known specialists, professors, public figures, social activists, economists, entrepreneurs and scientific & management workers from different fields of science, business, universities & colleges, research institutes and relative departments of the government, was founded in Oct. 1993. Being legally registered at the Ministry of Civil Affairs of The People’s Republic of China, CHIA is responsible for China Science & Technology Association, supported by China Aerospace Science and Technology Corp., China Aerospace Science and Industry Corp. in succession, and possesses extensive social connections and influences. The famous Scientist, academician Wang Daheng, and Liu Jiyuan, Director of the former Chinese Space Bureau, academician of International Academy of Space Science, now the honorary chairman. The incumbent chairman is Xu Dazhe, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People`s Republic of China , the CPC Central Committee member of the 18th session.

As its mission is to promote hi-techs to be industrialized, the job of CHIA would cover a whole range of hi-techs, and particularly stress comprehensive usage of different kinds of hi-techs.

To achieve its objective of making hi-techs industrialized, CHINA keeps in contact with the broad mass of scientific & administrative workers and entrepreneurs, and organize them to give advices for policy decisions, demonstrations and evaluations for scientific items, etc. on receipt of entrustment. It also supply services for the transformation of hi-techs such as developing hop-pot researches in the field, academic exchanges, re-educations & trainings to the administrative workers, and other relative items, and develop international cooperation.

Actively performing on different areas, CHIA keep enhancing its tie with central and local government, strengthening its relationship with both corporations and institutes. CHIA will dedicate its effort on meeting the goal of making the nation a strong and wealthy country.
